To burn an Xbox 360 game, you just need to be able to make a copy of the original game in a perfect way. This means that you need to be able to duplicate the content that’s on the original game disc and then burn the new disc in exactly the same way as the original.
There are several ways to do this, some voiding the warranty on your console, but the easiest is to use a tool which allows you to burn the game with your PC. Here’s how to do it:
Tools You Need
Before we start, you will need to do the following:
- Download imgBurn (imgburn.com).
- Have a blank dual layer DVD
- Have a dual layer DVD writer
- The .iso and .dvd files of the game you want to copy
You should download all these tools and have all these materials ready before you try and copy any game. It makes the process a lot less confusing if you have them all ready to use.
The Burning Process
To start burning your games, first install imgBurn. This is the software tool which allows you to burn the games to DVD. It’s a free tool and has a set of instructions on the website itself, which you can find on Google.
After you have that software installed, you then need to make sure you have the .iso and .dvd files for the game you want to copy / backup. These files tell your system how to burn the game and what to put on the new disc. To get these files, you can either download them (which is illegal) or “rip” them from your game disc. You need to have them because they are what contains the game data.
If you’ve got your game files on your PC, you will then need to open the .dvd file and copy the LAYER BREAK number. This number shows your computer where to break the copying of the first DVD layer and then start copying the other. You should copy that number, close the .dvd file and then open imgBurn. When in imgBurn, open up the settings window and paste that layer break number into the Layer Break box and then return to the home screen.
Once you’re back on the home screen, you then need to click on the “burn from image” button which will load up a new Window. In that Window, you then need to load up the ISO file for your game and then select a write-speed of 4X. This is the perfect write speed for your games, as it has the highest success rate.
Once you’ve done all that, you just need to click on “Burn” and it will burn your game onto your blank disc!
How To Play The Games
Once you’ve burnt the game to disc, you’ll undoubtedly want to play it. This is a little more tricky than actually burning the game because it requires a few more tricks and tweaks which need to be installed on your PC & Xbox 360. In order to do this properly, you need to be able to follow a guide or system which explains exactly how to do it.
You can actually burn Xbox360 games [http://www.ipodbackupwizard.com] very easily with a tool called “GameBackupSystem [http://www.ipodbackupwizard.com]”. This tool has been created by an anonymous team, but we were able to backup and play 20+ Xbox360 games with it. It copies your game discs perfectly, including the copyright protection sectors. This means that you can copy as many games as you want with the system, and then play them on your console without a mod chip.
